Trakai Castle & Nature Park

Trakai is a charming historical village approx. 35 min drive from Vilnius. Located by picturesque Lake Galve it is known for its well preserved medieval Trakai Castle (located on one of islands of the lake) as well as Crimean Karaites living here since the 13th century.

Trakai is a great destination for a half or full day tour. Lake Galve offers various water activities like kayaking or boat trips, group can enjoy cycling tours around the lake or hot air ballons over the lake, or enjoy a nice lunch or dinner in one of Trakais' restaurants. You can also participate in Karaite traditional cuisine workshops, off-road jeep safari or even tank driving not far from Trakai.
